Under first year head coach Patrick Stokes, coach stokes guided the Williams Bulldogs Varsity football team to a 7 -5 over all season record and a 2nd place finish in the Central Carolina 3A at 4-1. The Bulldogs advanced to the 2nd round of the NCHSAA State football playoffs entering the field as the #19 seed in 3A East bracket
Coach Stokes a former Bulldog wide receiver and Elon football Alumni, was a member of the 1999 Williams Football State Championship team. Coach Stokes post graduation from Elon landed him on the sideline at Eastern Alamance as an assistant under John Kirby for 17 years.
Coach Stokes returned to his Alma Mater in June of 2021 taking over the head coaching job for the Bulldogs.
