Since debuting  in 1947 under the call letters WFNS, we have always been committed to Alamance County and our listeners by providing wholesome family programs and promoting local businesses and local people. 


In 1964,  it was changed to WBAG, meaning We’re Burlington And Graham.

In 1982 the slogan "Your Hometown Radio Station" was added

  • Recognized as the longest active running affiliate for UNC Tar Heels sports and only one of three in the world to carry Football, Basketball and Baseball since 1947.

  • Duke Blue Devils affiliate since 1985.

  • NASCAR affiliate for live racing and weekly talk shows since 1978. Including PRN, MRN and Indy Motor Sports.

  • FULL coverage of Alamance County High and Middle School sports since 1972 including Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball and coverage of D.A.R.E. Middle School basketball championship games since 1995.

  • American Legion Summer sports since 1985 and Summer senior girls fastpitch since 2019.

  • Gold member coverage of Wyndham Golf since 2018.

  • 2014 and 2019 Best Beach Radio Station award winners from the CBMA for North and South Carolina  (Carolina Beach Music Awards)
